A pensioner is in a ‘serious condition’ in hospital after his car crashed into a workshop building.
Police and paramedics were called to Lancaster Road in Pilling, at the junction with Taylors Lane, at around 10.15pm on Saturday (December 28) following reports of a road traffic collision. They arrived to find a Jaguar X-Type car had left the road and collided with a workshop building.
Lancashire Constabulary said the driver of the Jaguar, a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital and is in a serious condition. The force is now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area to get in contact.
In a statement on Sunday, Garstang and Over Wyre Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses and footage after a man suffered serious injuries in a collision in Pilling yesterday. Our officers were called at 10.13am yesterday (28th December) to Lancaster Road at the junction with Taylors Lane, Pilling, to a report of a road traffic collision.
“When they attended, they found that a Jaguar X-Type car had left the road and collided with a workshop building. The driver of the Jaguar, a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital and is in a serious condition.
“We want anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam/CCTV footage from the area around the time it happened, to contact us. Please contact 101, quoting log 0332 of 28th December 2024, or email our Serious Collision Investigation Unit at SCIU@lancashire.police.uk.”
