A man has been injured after being hit by a car while out for a run in North Yorkshire.
At around 1pm on December 23, 2024, a man was running along a footpath near to the Co-op in the Market Place, Leyburn. A small red Fiat 500 then turned left in front of him, and hit him.
The runner suffered minor injuries in the incident and the car suffered minor damage. At the time, the driver did stop at the scene. However, details were not exchanged.

North Yorkshire Police said: “We’re appealing for a driver to come forward after a collision in Leyburn. It happened at about 1pm on December 23, 2024.
“A man was running along the footpath near the Co-op in the Market Place, and began to cross over a junction, when a small red Fiat 500 car turned left in front of him. A collision occurred, with the runner suffering minor injuries. The collision also caused minor damage to the vehicle.
“The driver of the vehicle did stop at the scene but unfortunately details were not exchanged.”
