It’s all coming together at Venn Farm, where the development has officially reached the “watertight” stage—both literally and figuratively.
Goonvean Holdings Ltd has confirmed that internal works are now underway.
This milestone was celebrated during a topping out ceremony attended by key stakeholders, including Lord Falmouth, owner of Goonvean Holdings Ltd, Matthew Gazzard, managing director of Goonvean Holdings Ltd, and Tom Clarke, project director at Goonvean Holdings Ltd, alongside the team from Devon Contractors.
The Venn Farm project involves the design and construction of three state-of-the-art steel-framed industrial units, with one unit designed to be subdivided, accommodating a variety of industrial needs. The final internal concrete pour is scheduled for this week, and the installation of curtain walling is currently in progress.
During the ceremony, Tom Clarke said: “Today marks a significant milestone for the new units at our Engineering Centre of Excellence at Venn Place. We eagerly anticipate the completion and handover of these buildings, which will offer vital production spaces for several key businesses within the engineering sector of the Goonvean Group.”
Nigel Whelan, managing director at Devon Contractors added: “We are thrilled to achieve this milestone for the Venn Farm project. Witnessing the development advance to the watertight stage has been incredibly rewarding, and it speaks to the teamwork and dedication involved in bringing this project to life for our client.”
The Venn Farm project includes meticulous site infrastructure, ample car parking, hard and soft landscaping, and advanced drainage systems, including an attenuation pond designed to effectively manage stormwater. The project is on schedule for completion by early April 2025.
