An employee in Sedgemoor has been recognised for 25 years’ service. Roadchef’s Sedgemoor Motorway Service Area (MSA) has honoured Philippa Wood for her dedication to the company.
Mark Fox, Chief Executive Officer for Roadchef, presented Philippa with a long service award. Philippa began her career with Roadchef on October 11, 1999, the year the euro was introduced.
The Matrix film premiered in cinemas, and Christina Aguilera’s Genie in a Bottle was number one in the music charts. Philippa began as a team member at Wimpy and was promoted to Unit Manager at the restaurant.
When Wimpy closed down, Phillipa moved to the Cornish Bakery. Philippa has remained a steadfast presence at Sedgemoore ever since. When Philippa isn’t at work, she enjoys arts and crafts, including glass drawing.
Karolina Truskauskaite, Site Director at Sedgemoor, said: “Phillipa’s dedication over the past 25 years is inspiring. Her hard work is deserving of such an incredible achievement, and it’s great to see Roadchef’s investment in rewarding and motivating staff.
“Phillipa is a valued member of the Sedgemoor team, and I look forward to seeing her continue to make colleagues and travellers have a great experience at Roadchef.”
Mark Fox, CEO at Roadchef, added: “Everyone at Roadchef is extremely proud to have Philippa on the team, and we are immensely grateful for her contributions over the past 25 years. Her dedication to providing excellent customer service makes Philippa a highly valued member of the Roadchef family.”
