Manchester PR boss Scott Thomas is heading back to Love Island – and viewers will see if romance blossoms with the start of the new Love Island All Stars series on Monday on ITV2.
Scott, twin brother of Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas and younger brother of Corrie star Ryan Thomas, appeared in the second series of the reality show back in 2016.
He made it to the final after coupling up with Kady McDermott and the couple stayed together outside of the villa for over a year, before their relationship came to an end in December 2017.
Since then, Scott has set up his own business, Social PR, in Manchester, and has his own podcast. But on the romance side of things, he’s remained single ever since his last foray on Love Island.
Speaking in an interview last month, Scott, 36, revealed the reasons why he thinks he’s not been able to find the perfect match since the ITV2 show. He appeared on the Thinking Deepa podcast, and told host Deepa Parekh that he “didn’t have a clue” what he was looking for when he first appeared on the show.

But he admits that he’s actually an old romantic at heart, and has been obsessed with a particular film which may have been given him unrealistic expectations.
He said on the podcast: “I’ve always been quite deep. I’ve always loved the idea of love.
“I’m a real deep thinker. So I watched the film Notebook and I love the film Notebook. And I think I’ve always had this idea in my head of like, when you say you love someone, you love someone.
“And I remember my first love, like when I was like 20, 21, like she broke my heart. It wasn’t her fault, but I couldn’t get over like the rejection, like for years.
“And I think because I’m quite an intense, deep person, like when I love, I love quite deeply. So I think I love the idea of it.
“But I think there’s also a part of me and I’ve realized this recently about myself, that I’ve been aiming for perfection too much. Like I’ve been aiming for the Notebook.”

When quizzed by Deepa on whether that perfection was emotional or physical, he said: “Probably more physical, if I’m honest. She’s got to basically fit into my idea of what I thought my dream wife would be.
“And I think that’s what I’m trying to unpick now and unravel. And I think there’s two reasons why I think I’ve been single for so long. One is I’ve been aiming for perfection, which I think is wrong, and I’ve acknowledged that.
“And two, I’ve struggled to let someone into me because I wasn’t fully comfortable with who I was.
“Whereas now I’m at a place in my life where I do like who I am. I am proud of who I am. And therefore I would be open to letting someone into that.”
