Plymouth Argyle fans are awaiting to learn which team the Pilgrims will be facing in the next round of the FA Cup, as the fourth-round draw takes place this evening.
The third round threw up a number of fascinating ties this week and while decisions to start matches on Thursday – spreading them out until Monday night – was no doubt disappointing, leading to a dire attendance at Sheffield United vs Cardiff on opening night, there have been some outstanding stories and ties already, reports the Mirror.
One of those was no doubt the Greens, who beat Premier League side Brentford. There were wild scenes of celebration after the final whistle at the Gtech Community Stadium as Kevin Nancekivell and Joe Edwards, in their final match of their temporary charge, took the acclaim of a 2,400-strong travelling Green Army.
The draw, which is taking place at 5pm, is being hosted by Kelly Somers. The numbers are being drawn by former Arsenal defender, Martin Keown and ex-Middlesborough and Fulham goalkeeper, Mark Schwarzer.
The draw will be broadcast live in the UK on Sunday via BBC One as part of the BBC’s continued coverage of the competition.
Fans can also tune into the official Emirates FA Cup social media channels to find out who their sides, should they qualify, will play in the next round of fixtures. Argyle are 21 in the draw.
