List of Iceland’s cost of living savings in stores this January

Faced with rising household expenses impacting families nationwide, Iceland is introducing its largest-ever savings initiative this January.

The ‘Mega Deals’ campaign includes promotions, such as an expansion of Iceland’s £1 or less range to over 1,000 items and the return of deals including 10 for £10 and discounts on everyday essentials.

According to an Iceland-commissioned study, January poses the biggest financial challenge to half the population following the festive season, with 50% seeking grocery and everyday item discounts and 56% altering their shopping habits to save as much as possible.

Discounts on a wide variety of items are part of the ‘Mega Deals’ campaign, including half-off laundry staples, reduced prices on popular Quorn, Chicago Town and Birdseye frozen meals, and a buy two, get one free deal.

Executive chairman of Iceland Foods, Richard Walker, remarked: “We know families are looking to reduce spending in all aspects of everyday life and we know that we need to do our bit to help.

“January will be a struggle for millions, it’s no secret that bills are going to rise and it’s going to hit some families extremely hard. That’s why we’re stepping up, expanding our £1 or less lines and introducing hundreds of deals. We’re here to help this January.”
