Prince Harry and Meghan’s daughter has been going through her “princess phase” according to a friend of the former Suits star. Chef Adrian Lipscombe also defended the Duchess of Sussex’s new Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan’ after it drew widespread criticism.
The chef made the remarks on Instagram in relation to an Eater article that criticised her new series before it was even released. She wrote: “We talked about our families (mostly about our daughters being in their princess phase and the movies they love) and, of course, about food.”
The fellow mum called on the publication to retract the negative piece about the show, writing: “Let’s talk about the bigger picture here—where are the Black female-led shows and roles in the food world? Representation is already so scarce, and now, a show that has the potential to spotlight food, culture, and storytelling is being torn apart before it even has a chance.
“This isn’t just about Meghan Markle. It’s about a systemic issue in media and entertainment that continues to dismiss or belittle efforts by women, especially women of colour, to create something meaningful.”The trailer for the show has so far has sparked more than 38,000 comments, many of which are negative with more than 1.1 million views over the past four days on YouTube. The show is set to be released on January 15.

It comes after former co-host of The View, Meghan McCain tore into the Duchess of Sussex over her poorly-timed trailer release for the new series. The light-hearted teaser dropped on Thursday, just days after the US faced extreme violence.
She took to X to share her views of the Duchess of Sussex, writing: “I was originally a Meghan Markle supporter, I thought she was cool, stylish and refreshing. Like the rest of the world my opinion changed when she disrespected the royal family.

“Now that she wants to be American again instead of British aristocracy what she seems to forget is Americans want real, raw, uncensored. All of this even in the trailer is highly curated, produced and out of touch.”
The 40-year-old explained that there had “been two terror attacks in two days, major wars raging and Americans can’t pay for groceries.” She was referring to the deaths of at least 14 people in New Orleans during a New Year’s celebration, the Las Vegas Cybertruck explosion and ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the Middle East.
The author said: “We are a country in rage, uncertainty and intensity right now. This concept is ill advised.” And she explained that she would have suggested Meghan did “a show helping bring fresh food to food deserts in low income neighbourhoods.”
Concluding her rant, she wrote: “Do something to help people instead of your ego. This is why the world doesn’t like you, nothing else. Just completely and utterly tone deaf to the moment.” The trailer for the new Netflix series shows Meghan creating beautiful meals while the Lovin’ Spoonful’s ‘Do you believe in Magic?’ is played in the background.
