A key road in Redhill will be closed for more than four months as SES Water complete essential works to the mains.
A section of Gatton Park Road, will be closed from Monday, January 6 2025, with the work expected to finish by the end of May 2025. The company is replacing more than 800m of the 20″ and 7″ main that run along the road.
SES Water have decided to lay two new mains in the same trench down Gatton Park Road. The new mains will be laid from the junction of Colesmead Road with Gatton Park Road, to just beyond West Lodge.
Due to the location of the existing water main work will need to be done on the road. To keep everyone safe this will mean a full road closure.

Throughout this time there will still be access to properties from the West Lodge end. A hard closure will be in place at the Colesmead end with no vehicle access possible. Pedestrian access will be possible throughout, but cyclists will need to dismount.
When possible site teams will work from 7am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. However, this may vary depending on weather conditions, daylight and staff availability.
