Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) are coming back to Birmingham to play one last show next summer. One of Britain’s best-loved bands will be on their final UK tour, The Over and Out Tour.
It comes after the announcement the band who founded in Birmingham, would headline London’s BST Hyde Park next summer, on Sunday, July 13.
They are known as one of the most iconic bands in the music business, and Jeff Lynne’s ELO has delivered a critically acclaimed and chart-topping album along with a sold-out run of UK and European shows. Jeff Lynne was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2023 and the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. The band is known for hits such classic hits as Livin’ Thing and Mr Blue Sky.

The band were founded by Lynne, now 76, along with Roy Wood in 1970. The original lack of a Birmingham farewell was picked up on by Midland radio and TV presenter Adrian Chiles and local fans.
