The Masked Singer’s Toad in the Hole has caused confusion between viewers who had been convinced they had pinned down the character’s true identity.
Viewers of the ITV entertainment show had appeared to be in agreement with judges on the show who were convinced that American singer and actress Macy Gray, whose hits include the 1999 song ‘I Try’, was behind the mask.
But after further consideration, many viewers started to move away from their original thoughts.
One viewer said they would “put [their] house on Toad being Macy Gray” but later took to social media to admit that they had changed their mind. They wrote: “Having said I would put my house on Toad being Macy Gray. I may lose the house as Toad could also be Randy Crawford!”
And there were others who agreed, with one person adding: “I’ve changed my mind and I’m going Randy Crawford for #toadinthehole.”
But not everyone was convinced into changing their mind.
One person said: “Macy Gray is currently dressed up as a toad in the hole on The Masked Singer and the judges are like “who on earth could this be! We just can’t tell???” Another added: “My guess is Macy Gray on the Masked Singer.”
Viewers also guessed Toad in the Hole’s true identity could be Lulu, Sharon Osborne or Gabrielle. Would you agree?
