As part of the hard-hitting storyline, the ITV soap has worked closely with Missing People to give this storyline a realistic and authentic depiction.
It comes as before April went missing, she was seen waiting for an unknown individual to show up.
It wasn’t long until a vehicle rolled up, and without speaking, April got into the back as it drove off. Soap watchers have now been left fearing that Anthony Fox, played by Nicholas Day, could be behind the disappearance.

Since arriving in the Dales, Anthony’s sinister past has been unveiled through intense flashbacks where he was seen abusing his daughter Ruby, played by Beth Cordingly. Concerns are now rising among the audience that April could be his latest target.
Meanwhile, others think the enigmatic driver could be Scott Windsor, and if April might have contacted him. As the brother of April’s late mother, Donna Windsor, Scott is in fact April’s uncle.
Scott, played by Ben Freeman, was last seen in the village back in 2007. However, he is regularly mentioned on the ITV soap. Who has April and is she okay?
‘Return from dead’
Emmerdale served up a dramatic Christmas storyline with the apparent death of character Will.
Recently, Joe made a sensational return to the popular ITV soap after a six-year absence, where he was revealed as the brains behind Pete and Will’s plots against Kim.
The drama escalated on Christmas Day when, following a dispute with his wife Kim, Will suffered a fatal heart attack. The couple were set to renew their vows, but the ceremony was interrupted by Joe’s unexpected arrival and the unveiling of their scheme, leading Kim to request a private conversation with Will.
During this discussion, a distraught Will, who had tried to abort the plan and attempted to explain his actions, was left devastated when Kim dismissed his reasons and announced their marriage was over. He then collapsed suddenly, clutching his chest and toppling the Christmas tree.
Soap fans are speculating that Will, who appeared to be killed off, is actually still alive

As he struggled for breath, Kim initially accused him of pretending and having a panic attack, refusing to assist. However, when Joe entered the room and identified that Will was suffering a heart attack, a shocked Kim sprang into action, doing her utmost to keep him alive.
Unfortunately, it was too late, and upon the arrival of the ambulance crew, Will was tragically pronounced dead. During the subsequent police investigation, Joe quickly stepped in to defend Kim, stating that she had immediately tried to save Will and that he had collapsed while singing Christmas carols.
Soap fans are speculating that Will, who appeared to be killed off, is actually still alive and his death is part of a plot for revenge against Kim.
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers weren’t convinced by the ambulance crew that showed up as one person said: “Never seen so such awful CPR performed. Especially by so called paramedics in my life” while a different account put: “Mmm 2 questions why didn’t the paramedics use the defibrillator and I thought paramedics weren’t allowed to stop until told to do so by a doctor. I might be wrong but then they might not be paramedics, Will might not be dead & the whole thing is a plot to blackmail Kim?”

Elsewhere, another wrote: “Interesting that Kim didn’t put much of an effort with the chest compressions, no mouth to mouth nor did we see the ambulance crew shock Will. Billy didn’t look too surprised either. There could be a twist to this storyline?” while another added: “So WHY did ambulance crew not use defibrillator.”
Meanwhile, one person said: “He is either actually dead or the paramedics are people hired by Joe to make it a set up which i doubt it is as will called it off”, a different account put: “Said all along Will won’t be dead. Him , Joe and Jamie in a plot together to bring Kim down. Joe didn’t phone ambulance ,paramedics were less than useless, nor did they declare death properly. Very fishy!” while another added: “Don’t think he dead. All part of joes plan with solicitor Peter.”
