Producers of a musical comedy spinoff from the beloved TV sitcom Friends are looking for people to play Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe, along with Central Perk coffee shop’s Gunther, for an upcoming tour. Friends! The Musical Parody, will bring all the fun and escapades of the most famous group of twenty-somethings to the Hull New Theatre stage in March, 2026.
In the meantime, open auditions have been announced to find the show’s own Friends ahead of its UK and Ireland tour, which starts this August in Cirencester. Friends! The Musical Parody is a side-splitting musical comedy packed with all of the iconic moments from all ten seasons of the popular television series.
This uncensored, fast-paced production features an entirely original musical score and showcases the escapades of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe as they tackle the challenges of work, life, and love in 1990s Manhattan. From the producers of Hairspray and the director of the Full Monty, this humorous take on the TV show blends iconic moments with laugh-out-loud comedy.
The promoters of the show said: “Whether you’re in a love triangle, trying to make it as an actor, or just can’t quit your day job, you’ll be laughing, crying, and quoting your favourite lines all night long.” Auditions for the character roles will take place in Cirencester and London in January 2025.
