From the moment I stepped foot inside the wide shop, I was grabbed by the cosy yet elegant atmosphere of Cuppa’ Chaii Wallington and quickly realised why it has been so popular since it opened at the start of the year. This was before I had even ordered myself one of their chai drinks getting rave reviews.
The décor of the new Wallington café is sophisticated, with numerous seating options, whether you prefer a small couch-like chair, a normal one, or a unique swing-style table decorated with lights. I ordered the regular Karak chai, coming in at £3.59, and I was impressed by the generous sized glass full to the brim with the spiced rich tea.
The staff in the new café were more than happy to explain the full menu to me, including the pink chai, 50/50 karak chai, vegan chai option as well as an extensive coffee menu from cappuccino and mocha to flat whites and americanos. But if, instead, you want to try something cooler, they offer milkshakes, iced drinks, smoothies, teas and frappes. On top of that, they also serve Gola Ganda, a Pakistani ice lolly, in three flavours.

Cuppa’ Chaii does not only offer drinks, their extensive food menu caught my eye too. From chicken tikka wraps and peri chicken wraps to kebab rolls and paninis, you have plenty of choice to combine with your drink. If you are feeling in the mood for sweets, you can try different milk cakes or brownies.
What sets this spot apart from a normal coffee shop is a playful twist. Some tables have glass tops that, when opened, turn into board games for both children and adults. But if you are not satisfied with that, don’t worry, there is a dedicated game corner that showcases different table games for people of all ages.
I found the service at Cuppa’ Chaii to be nothing short of amazing. On my visit two mums were meeting up with their babies and staff promptly provided high chairs allowing them to enjoy their chai while keeping the babies comfortable at the same time.
