Police are continuing to hunt an attacker after a boy was knifed outside a Tesco store on New Year’s Day. Emergency crews were called to the stabbing at the Tesco Express store on Oldham Road in Ashton-under-Lyne at around 6pm.
It’s understood the victim, a 17-year-old boy, ran inside the shop for help following the attack. He was later rushed to hospital with ‘serious injuries’.
The footpath outside of the shop was taped off for a number of hours on Wednesday night (January 1) as police were also seen conducting investigations inside the store.
