How Liverpool looked 100 years ago in 15 incredible pictures

Century old photos unearthed from the archive offer a glimpse into life in Liverpool back in 1924. It’s now been a century since the roaring 20s – and obviously so much has changed in our city since that time.

This month, the ECHO has taken a look at Liverpool life in 1995, as well as in 1985, in 1975, in 1965 and in 1955. But now, we’ve decided to have a look back even further at what life was like here 100 years ago in 1925.

Taken throughout that year, in our photos you can see locals going about their day to day life, workers, events and more frozen in a moment in time. You can also see a number of familiar landmarks that have stood the test of time.
