Hour-by-hour Met Office forecast as cold weather remains in West Midlands

The freezing weekend looks set to continue in the West Midlands according to Met Office forecasters. While it will be slightly less cold than Saturday, Sunday January 12 will still feel more than chilly.

Temperatures in Birmingham and the Black Country do actually rise above freezing, but will feel slightly colder due to wind chill. This comes with a rare amber alert in place warning of an increased danger of death due to the cold.

The headline conditions from the Met Office say to expect “often cloudy, with sunny spells developing, feeling less cold”. However, we have detailed an hour-by-hour forecast below.

In it’s Sunday forecast for the West Midlands, the Met Office said: “A cold and in places frosty start with a few fog patches. Often cloudy through the morning with sunny spells developing more widely by the afternoon. Feeling a bit milder. Maximum temperature 5C. Tonight, dry and settled overnight with lengthy clear spells. Fairly chilly for some, with a risk of a patchy frost in places. Minimum temperature 0C.”

While temperatures will rise to 5C today, it will never feel that warm. Below are the “feels like” conditions.
