Horror CCTV shows masked gang stab and stamp on trans teen in roller disco ambush

Sickening CCTV footage shows the moment a transgender teen was set upon by a gang who repeatedly stabbed her at a roller disco.

The 18-year-old victim suffered multiple stab wounds after being lured to a car park in north west London, and was also punched and stamped on as the mask-clad thugs shouted vile transphobic slurs at her. The vicious attack, which took place near Harrow Leisure Centre, was planned on Snapchat and left the teen living “in fear”.

A court was told how the group bragged of the assault afterward, even posting footage of what they had done on social media. The victim bravely asked police to release the footage to show what had happened to her.

Summer Betts-Ramsey, 20, who carried out the stabbing on February 10 last year was described in court today as a “dangerous offender”. Bradley Harris, Camron Osei, and Shiloh Hindes, all 18, were caught bragging about the assault.

The court heard the victim had previously performed a sex act on Harris. It was after this that they discovered she was transgender and turned on her. They lured her to the car park under the pretence she had been invited to a roller disco, but she was “immediately attacked” on arrival and stabbed more than a dozen times. The 18-year-old was rushed to hospital at around 7pm.

Betts-Ramsey was today sentenced to eight and a half years in youth detention, four and half of which must be served in custody. Harris, Osei and Hindes were meanwhile sentenced to three years each in youth detention.

A 17-year-old boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, was given a youth rehabilitation order. A 17-year-old girl admitted stealing the victim’s bag during the attack and was sentenced to a supervision order.

In an impact statement read to the court, the victim said: “I now find it difficult to trust people and it has deeply affected my friendship circle. I feel that I have become repressed and am always in fear when leaving my house.

“My attendance at college has dropped significantly, as I am constantly in fear of being assaulted again. I found it extremely difficult to sleep the first few weeks after the incident occurred and was constantly having nightmares. At times when I close my eyes, I replay the assault in my head and visualise the knife being used on me.

“I am unable to control this and I feel at times that this is taking over my life.” She added: “This incident has resulted in me being left with thick scars on and around my body. It saddens me every time I see them and I feel like I am the one living a life sentence due to them.

“I am not living a normal life and I am not sure if my life would ever be the same again. In the past I have experienced animosity towards me due to being transgender, but never thought that someone would have so much hatred for me and want to assault me in the way they did.”
