Hilarious Tiktok reveals reality of marrying into Irish family as video goes viral

A Tiktoker has gone viral for her hilarious portrayal of Irish traditions as she shares the reality of marrying into a Galway family.

Tiktoker Yasmin, who is one half of the Tiktok account YasminandKieran, gave followers a peek into how she has acclimatised to the central tenets of Irish culture since marrying her Galway man.

In a clip posted on their account this week, Yasmin adopted a popular Tiktok trend as she said: “I married into an Irish family. Of course the craic is great.

“I married into an Irish family. Of course I have a Claddagh ring!”

She continuds: “I married into an Irish family. Of course I know who Father Ted is. And Father Jack, Father Dougal and Mrs. Doyle.”

She added: “I married into an Irish family. Of course I know Barry’s tea is the best.

“I married into an Irish family. Of course when the weather turns, we say there’s a grand auld stretch in the evening.!”

The caption reads: “When a Mexican/Pakistani girl married a Galway guy.”

The video has amassed thousands of views and likes, garnering hundreds of comments as one wrote: “You convinced me with the Barry’s Tea!”

Another said: “Father Ted is the best!”

However a third said: “Lyon’s Tea is the best!”

Meanwhile a fourth wrote: “No hun, the craic is mighty!”

The Tiktok couple boast over 17,000 followers and have gained a large following for their videos showing how they have shared each others’ cultures over their relationship.
