Police in Glasgow have issued a fresh appeal after a woman was hit by a car in Castlemilk on Christmas Day.
The incident happened at around 11pm on Croftfoot Road. The 53-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment.
In an update, police investigating the incident say that the car initially stopped, but the two male occupants, described as Asian with Scottish accents, left within the vehicle before emergency services arrived.
Officers believe the car was a 2005-2015 Ford S-Max, possibly dark grey in colour. A wing mirror, which came off in the crash, was also retrieved before emergency services arrived.
Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “Extensive enquiries remain ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen the car around this time to contact us.
“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to come forward.”
