Rail services from Glasgow Central are delayed and some may be cancelled due to a broken down train.
Three services have been cancelled. Five services are currently delayed due to the incident at Scotland’s busiest railway station, including trains to Edinburgh, Ayr, and Newton.
Trains to Dalmuir and Motherwell have been cancelled and services to Paisley Canal have been suspended. Network Rail said trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 10 minutes or revised, with disruption expected to continue until 11am.
The disruption is due to a broken down train, according to Network Rail’s Live Departure board. In a statement, ScotRail said: “Due to a train fault at Glasgow Central.
“Train services running to and from Glasgow Central will be cancelled, delayed or revised Staff on board are currently trying to fix the issue causing the train fault.”
Network Rail Scotland said: “A fault on a train at Glasgow Central is causing disruption to journeys to / from this station. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 10 minutes or revised. This is expected until 11:00.”
