Galway brothers behind €4 million Aldi food partnership only growing stronger

A Galway business has signed a €4 million contract extension to supply one of Ireland’s biggest supermarket retailers.

The Galway meat maestros, Divilly Brothers, shared the good news of their renewal of their juicy €4m a year deal with ALDI. Based in Oranmore, Divilly’s has been dishing out top-notch supplies to the supermarket heavyweight since 2007.

They’re the brains behind the 100% Irish Bord Bia Quality Assured carved and sliced cooked ham that graces ALDI’s Specially Selected shelves across all 163 stores in Ireland.

And there’s more on the menu – the new contract will see the Galway gurus introduce some brand spanking new low-fat black and white puddings to ALDI’s range.

ALDI is delighted with the deal with Peter Bough, ALDI’s buying director, saying: “We are proud to announce the continuation of our long-standing partnership with Divilly Brothers and the investment of a further €4m annually in that relationship.

“Divilly’s is a company that is constantly recognised for their high quality and tasty products, including the range of Bord Bia Quality Assured cooked Irish ham supplied to ALDI.

“We look forward to continuing to supply our customers with the highest quality meat products from Divilly’s fantastic range.”

Divilly Brothers, a true family affair since 1927, now boasts a team of over 50 dedicated staff.

With this extended ALDI contract in the bag, they’re all set to beef up their business, keep the conveyor belt of innovative products rolling, and bolster the overall efficiency and growth of their operations.

Mr Shane Divilly, Commercial Director of Divilly’s, commented: “As we announce the extension of this supplier partnership, we proudly look back at our journey with ALDI. Since first supplying ALDI in 2007, we have continued to grow our business and this contract extension is a testament to our fantastic working relationship.”
