Full list of Surrey bin collection changes for New Year

As the Christmas period disappears and transforms into New Year you may, like many, be struggling to keep up with what day it is. With the Christmas and New Year bank holidays altering rubbish collections while crews take well deserved days off, it can be even harder to stay on track with when to put your bins out.

To help you navigate the next few weeks and ensure you can dispose of your inevitable mound of rubbish and recycling, we at SurreyLive have rounded up all the changes to bin collections for each of the Surrey council areas. You can find details of all the changes and when your next bin collection will be and when collections in your area are due to return to normal below.

If you can’t wait until your next collection, you can plan a trip to your nearest waste and recycling centre. To check where your nearest recycling centre is, and what you can recycle there, you can use the Surrey Recycles mobile app (Android or Apple). At these Recycling centres, you to get rid of items such as clothing, textiles, batteries and electronics, these are items which cannot be thrown in your black or blue bins.

Elmbridge New Year’s bin collections

On Monday, January 13, collections will return to normal and bins should be presented on your usual collection day.

Epsom and Ewell New Year’s bin collections

Monday, January 6 will be the return to full, normal collection schedules.
