Former Emmerdale star bags exciting new role alongside Hollywood icon and British comedy great

A former Emmerdale star has announced an exciting new role alongside a Hollywood great and British comedy royalty.

Fiona Wade, 45, who played Priya Sharma in Emmerdale, can be seen in new series Going Dutch. She played the character in the ITV soap for 12 years.

Fans can now see the acting star in the new show Going Dutch. Fiona is joining Denis Leary and Catherine Tate, star of many TV comedies, in the cast.

Denis Leary, known for his roles in the Ice Age franchise and The Thomas Crown Affair, plays grouch Army Colonel Patrick Quinn, who gets banished to the Netherlands after launching into an ill-thought rant. Fiona took to Instagram to celebrate her new role.

She said: “This was an absolute joy to be a part of.. working with these wonderful humans. The brand new sitcom for @foxtv ‘Going Dutch’ is out now on @comedyclubfox & @hulu.”
