Ford Focus ST driver ends up in a bush after West Midlands Police chase

A souped-up Ford that was being driven on ‘cloned plates’ ended up in a bush after a police chase through West Midlands streets. Officers shared dashcam footage of the dramatic pursuit.

The high-performance hatchback had initially been stolen from the Halesowen area of Dudley. It was then clocked by officers driving through Wolverhampton.

A brief pursuit took place, with police officers chasing the vehicle through the region’s streets. However the driver ended up crashing in Sedgley.

He tried ramming his way out but ended up boxed in by police vehicles and was subsequently arrested. Dashcam footage shared by West Midlands Police showed the grey-coloured car ending up in a bush on Wolverhampton Road East in Sedgley.

Another dashcam photograph showed the vehicle being pursued along Clifford Street in Sedgley moments earlier. The incident was shared on X by WMP Traffic, which wrote: “#RoadCrimeTeam officers sighted this cloned Ford Focus ST in Wolverhampton after it had been stolen from Halesowen.

“It was briefly pursued before the driver crashed and was boxed in by the team whilst trying to ram his way out before being arrested.”
