First picture of man killed in Salford as woman arrested on suspicion of murder

Terence Horan has been named at the centre of a murder investigation in Salford, Greater Manchester.

Terence, known to family and friends as Tez, was found dead at a property on Hope Hey Lane, in Little Hulton, on Sunday morning (January 12), reports Manchester Evening News.

Greater Manchester Police were called out to concerns for a person’s welfare. Sadly, 52-year-old Mr Horan was pronounced dead at the scene. Bolton Coroners’ Court has received a referral for Mr Horan.

A Home Office post-mortem on Monday found Mr Horan had suffered injuries ‘consistent with an assault’, GMP said. It comes as a woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.

Police and forensics are currently working at the scene as the murder investigation takes place. Detective Chief Inspector Neil Higginson, from GMP’s Major Incident Team, said on Monday: “Sadly, following the discovery of a body at a property in Little Hulton, we have now launched a murder investigation, and we have a team of detectives working around the clock to understand the circumstances.
