Fire in Cambs town thought to have been started deliberately

A fire that spread to three sheds in a Cambridgeshire town is thought to have been started deliberately. Two fire crews spent around one and a half hours putting out the flames on Creek Road, March, on Wednesday (January 1).

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “At 6.00pm on Wednesday, crews from March and Chatteris were called to a fire on Creek Road in March. Firefighters arrived to find two sheds well alight, with the fire spreading to a third shed.

“They used hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire and returned to their stations just after 7.30pm before re-inspecting the area at 11.00pm.” The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
