Our region has long been home to many factories, spanning different industries, decades and generations of workers. Overtime, they become more than just places of work and instead somewhere you make friends and memories for life.
Overtime, like many other areas, the gates have closed for the final time. But these images, courtesy of our archive, are bound to stir some memories.
Courtesy of our archives Mirrorpix, we’ve rediscovered some fascinating photos capturing the final days at a few of our now lost Merseyside factories. Some show moments from the last few months in operation, whereas others capture the last few days in their history and workers leaving the premises for good, the ECHO previously reported.
