Nigel Wallace, 57, shoots the pets as they leap over fallen trees so they resemble Superman. The snapper, from Mildenhall, Suffolk, has shared his secrets.
He said: “I have always loved flying dogs, seeing a dog flying through the air is awesome and they are so happy doing it, you can literally see them smile having so much fun. I make sure the dogs are fit enough to do it first, with no health issues like back, hip or leg problems. Dog safety is always a priority.
“As I am laying flat on the ground you get a really unique perspective of the height they get that you perhaps wouldn’t see if you were just standing up. My clients love this and most of them want to see their precious pooch flying.
“All dogs are great to photograph in action, border collies have a really intense stare at you whilst running, spaniels ears are all over the place, little dogs like Daschunds can really fly and they are so comical with their big ears too.
“I just love seeing them have fun during my photoshoots exploring the area and just being a dog. You can really capture their character when they are relaxed, no worries about anything and I work with the owners to achieve awesome portfolios from their photoshoot with me.
“I have been doing this six years full time now. It is so rewarding and a bit of a unique job that I have but I wouldn’t do anything else. Just seeing the look on my clients faces when they see the final edited images is worth getting muddy, drooled on, covered in dog hair. I love it.”
