One of the most well-known faces in the ‘trad wife’ social media movement has moved to Cork with her family.
Hannah Neeleman—also known as Ballerina Farm online—has moved with her family to East Cork to attend the prestigious Ballymaloe Cookery School. Hannah is attending classes alongside her husband Danial Neeleman, the son of JetBlue founder David Gary Neeleman.
The pair own a massive 328-acre farm in Utah where they raise their eight children. Hannah makes her living as a content creator, with many of her videos centred around life on the farm, homemaking, and her experiences raising her children.
Hannah became popularly associated with the ‘trad wife’ social media movement, which advocates for a return to more socially conservative gender roles.
The couple met while Hannah was studying ballet at Julliard and got married within three months. After graduation, the family moved to São Paulo, Brazil, for work, and it was there that they discovered their love of agriculture.
Upon returning to Utah in 2018, the pair purchased the land that would become Ballerina Farm, and over the last six years, they’ve amassed a following of more than twenty million people across all their social media accounts.
Now, the family has made the long journey from Utah to Cork, where they’ll stay for the next several weeks. They revealed the move to Cork in a video on their TikTok page, which shows them attending their first classes at Ballymaloe in matching chef attire.
Over the last few days, the couple has been sharing their creations with fans on social media as they’ve worked under the tutelage of Darnia and Rachel Allen. Videos shared on TikTok show Hannah and Daniel wandering around the farm and cooking up a storm at the Ballymaloe kitchens.
As the Ballymaloe Cookery School has become known worldwide for its culinary expertise, learning the craft there doesn’t come cheap. Twelve-week courses cost €16,295 per person, so the pair has spent a significant sum on their latest adventure.
