The family of a Cambridgeshire man with a “heart of gold” whose body was found in a river on Boxing Day has paid tribute to him. Bradley Kent, 29, went missing on December 2 and was found in the river at St Neots on December 26.
Mother Michelle Neal, from St Neots, said the period when Bradley, known as Brad, was missing was “the worst feeling ever”. “Just waiting for the phone to go or someone knocking on the door – I couldn’t sleep,” the 53-year-old said.
Brad, who was an identical twin, was “full of life”, Michelle said. He “had a heart of gold” and loved his family.
“He will be remembered because of how kind he was,” she added. “He always wore what he wanted, didn’t really care about fashion – he was his own person.”
Michelle said: “It was so sad for him to go so young. I will never have answers why he ended up in the river.”
She has started a GoFundMe to pay for Brad’s funeral. It raised more than £2,300 in the first week – you can view it here.
