Every ‘act now’ flood warning issued in Coventry and Warwickshire

A number of communities across Coventry and Warwickshire remain at the risk of flooding today. The latest Environment Agency map shows a number of ‘act now’ flood warnings in place across our area.

It is known that rural parts of north Warwickshire as well as in the south have been badly hit by the heavy downpours and melting snow yesterday (January 6). Several of these areas feature on the flood map with red warnings.

Monitoring of river levels across our area is set to continue today (January 7). While there is no local forecast for a repeat of the heavy rain, the Met Office has said that there could be some ‘rain, sleet, and snow’ later today.
