A special black-tie ball with drinks, a four-course meal and live music has been announced to support an amazing Cork homeless charity.
The ‘Come Fly with Me’ gala will take place at Glanmire’s much-loved Vienna Woods Hotel on Saturday March 1st – and all Cork businesses are invited to come along for an evening of ‘glitz, glamour and high-flying fun.’
On the night, the ball’s attendees will be treated to a drinks reception, dinner and live music, as well as a chance to celebrate the achievements of rising talent as winners of the Student of the Year Awards are unveiled.
A charity raffle is also planned for the event, with all money raised going towards Good Shepherd Cork – a homeless support group that runs services at the Edel House shelter.
The charity operates a total of seven support centres across the city, providing emergency accommodation, education, training and much more to over 900 women, children, and families each year.
Tickets are priced at €150 per person – you can book a single or for a group of ten here.
Katie Power, Chair of the MII Cork Ball, said: “The ‘Come Fly with Me’ Ball is a tribute to the glamour of jet-setting and a chance to celebrate the achievements of Cork’s business and marketing community. It’s not just a night out—it’s an opportunity to make a difference while having a fantastic time. Our charity raffle will feature incredible prizes, and we aim to surpass last year’s fundraising total of €6,500.”
CEO of Good Shepherd Cork Allison Aldred added: “We are thrilled to be the beneficiary of the MII Cork Ball raffle. The money raised will be used to support the children and their families who avail of our service. We want to ensure that the time they spend in homelessness is not going to hinder their overall development and reduce the risk of them becoming homeless again as adults. This will be done through implementing a range of practical and emotional supports by our Child and Youth Team.”
