Not many Emmerdale fans will know but Joe actually worked two jobs while he was acting on the ITV soap. Away from his TV career, he was spotted pulling pints in his local village pub.
Joe found fame as Jacob on the soap when he was just eight years old and despite banking cash from an early age he was keen to find additional funds and got himself a second job.
The 22-year-old was recognised by customers. One onlooker told The Sun at the time: “Joe-Warren is a friendly lad – he only joined recently so he’s just getting started. It’s not the case at all that he has left Emmerdale, he’s still very much on set. But he knows via friends the owner of the bar and offered to help out.”
Other claims to fame

In 2020, Joe was written out of the soap temporarily, to allow the young actor to take part in Dancing on Ice alongside pro-skater Vanessa Bauer and the pair had an undeniable connection on the ice.
Although the pair were hot favourites to win the competition, with their dazzling routines and daring moves on the ice, they had no choice but to bow out early after testing positive for Covid-19. Back then the rules stipulated that it was game over.
Two years ago, he also took a brief time out from his soap commitments to take part in Ninja Warrior UK.
Joe splits from long-term girlfriend
Joe and Anna Norton have now parted ways
Joe confirmed he was dating Anna Norton in February 2022 and the pair looked smitten, even sharing an update with social media when they celebrated their one-year anniversary.
According to the Daily Star, the pair made the ultimate commitment to one another when they purchased a home together and they appeared to be love’s young dream, but that all came crashing down just a few months ago when their split was announced.
An insider revealed to the Sun that the pair have parted ways after their relationship hit the rocks following a trip to America together earlier this year. A source told the publication that it hadn’t been an easy separation.
They said: “Joe and Anna are over, it’s very sad but they are still very young. It hasn’t been the amicable split they were hoping for and they aren’t speaking now at all.”
Dancing On Ice ‘curse’
Joe on Dancing On Ice
Forget the Strictly Come Dancing curse, it’s the rival channel’s dancing programme that Joe needed to worry about. Until he took part in the programme in 2022, he had dated model Nicole Hadlow and they pair were reportedly very happy together.
However, weeks into the competition, rumours started to swirl that Nicole had become worried about the amount of time Joe was spending on the ice rehearsing with his partner Vanessa Bauer.
It was easy to see that the hours the pair had put into their routines had paid off and their connection on the ice was like noone elses in the competition.
One insider said to the Sun at the time: “He’s been spending hours on the ice with Vanessa and the trainers and it has been tough on them. Joe is mad for Nicole and obviously wants to make this work but it has been tough.”
Despite speculation that there was trouble in paradise, Nicole and Joe put on a brave show to highlight their union as they cosied up for a sweet snap wearing matching outfits to celebrate the actor’s 18th birthday.
Soon after, reports emerged that Nicole had ended their relationship and Joe moved back home to live with his mum. The pair also unfollowed each other on social media. A source told the same publication: “Nicole felt sidelined and he’s done little to put her mind at ease.”
Emmerdale is back on ITV1 this evening and can be streamed via ITVX.
