Emmerdale spoilers suggest a character ‘hates life at home’, an affair has been teased and a special milestone ‘ruined’.
The New Year’s Day edition of Emmerdale has already dropped on ITVx. In the episode, the search for missing April continued with the village out on foot looking for the teen.
Trying to reassure April’s dad Marlon, his partner Rhona said: “April is going to come home where she belongs.” The authorities visited Marlon to tell him April had been sharing some disturbing videos online.
In one, April acknowledges Marlon has been having an affair with Laurel. Frustrated, Marlon snapped: “I have already told you I never had an affair with my ex.”
Later Marlon visited Laurel to discuss some texts between the two. He said: “I want my daughter home, Laurel, whatever the cost.”
It was also said April ‘hates life at home’. Elsewhere, Joe was seen acting suspicious as he offered ‘support’ to grieving Kim, following Will’s death.

Kim stated: “Every time I manage to nod off all I see is Will.” Handing Kim sleeping tablets, Joe said: “All I know is that vision of Will is not going to go anywhere until you get some rest soon.”
In the Wednesday episode, Sarah and Jacob are seen getting closer. While, Steph’s birthday celebrations didn’t go to plan.
