Emmerdale spoilers show a blackmail plot could well see a villager or two leave.
In upcoming scenes, Emmerdale fans will see Wendy, portrayed by Susan Cookson, being blackmailed by a journalist from the Hotten Courier. To cover herself, Wendy is prepared to dish the dirt on colleague Ella’s past.
“It’s yet to be seen exactly what this journalist has on Wendy but it certainly has her running scared,” a source said, as reported by Inside Soap. “It soon becomes clear that Wendy is prepared to do whatever it takes to keep her name out of the papers, even if that means throwing someone else under the bus.”
In true soap style, this leads to a confrontation which viewers will see involving Wendy, her partner Bob and Ella at the B&B. It appears that Wendy’s reputation might be stained forever.
Perhaps, this is how we see Wendy and Ella, played by Paula Lane, leave the village. We’ve recently reported that the two characters have been axed and with the acting stars soon set to exit the soap.
