Emmerdale’s Kim Tate could be set for a new romance with an unexpected villager following the death of husband Will Taylor.
As fans will recall, Kim (Claire King) and Will (Dean Andrews) had rekindled their romance, after months of being at war. Wanting to move on, Kim suggested that she and Will renew their vows on Christmas Day.
However, Kim had no idea that Will was working with her former financial advisor Peter (David Michaels), in a bid to bring her down. What’s more, it was confirmed that Peter was also employed by a mysterious individual – hell-bent on getting revenge on Kim Tate.
The mysterious individual was then revealed as none other than Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) – and on Christmas Day, things took a seriously dramatic turn.

After renewing their vows, Joe showed up to Home Farm – leaving Kim floored. Joe then told Kim all about how Will had been conspiring to destroy her, with Kim realising what he was saying was true.
Alone with Will, Kim made it clear their marriage was over, but suddenly, Will clutched his chest and collapsed to the floor, taking down the Christmas tree with him. Gasping for breath, Kim watched on.

When she realised Will was actually dying though, panic set in, with Kim doing what she could to keep her husband alive. Emergency services showed up but revealed that Will was sadly dead.
Since then, Kim and Will’s daughter Dawn (Olivia Bromley) have been left heartbroken as they try and grieve Will. However, fans are certain Kim is already going to find love with someone new: On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person put forward a theory that Kim and Joe Tate could strike up some sort of romance.
Joe made his return last week
Joe Tate is the orphaned son of Christopher Tate and Rachel Hughes. Back in 2018, Joe had an explosive exit after he was forced to go on the run after Kim, who had been married to his grandfather Frank Tate, ordered his death.
But with Joe back in the Dales, and appearing to now be a good guy, viewers are certain it’s only a matter of time before he starts a romance with grieving Kim.
The fan on the page penned: “Joe and Kim will sleep together they’re not bio related.” And other soap viewers seemed to agree, as a second wrote: “I can see it tbh.” Echoing their thoughts, another said: “Hey it’s Emmerdale cousins sleep together!”
