Emmerdale has confirmed a devastating accident will leave lives on the line next month.
A devastating and perilous car crash will see multiple beloved characters battle for survival after crashing a car into an icy lake in scenes of the ITV soap which are set to air in February.
Last month a flashforward clip revealed danger ahead for at least one village resident as viewers saw a lake that had iced over, with someone trapped underneath trying to break free.
Crew members have been filming night shoots with special effects to produce some epic episode content. It’s not been revealed if anyone dies but we could lose a major character if reports are anything to go by and fans have already speculated who could meet a grisly end.

Following reports that Roxy Shahidi is leaving Emmerdale after playing Leyla Cavanagh for 16 years, some fans are convinced the character could be killed off in the epic stunt. However, others are certain that they’ve “figured out” exactly who is involved in the crash after spotting a cryptic clues in new publicity photos.

Fans of the soap are aware that teenager April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) went missing on Christmas Day and was last seen getting into a vehicle with an mystery getaway driver. Some fans are convinced that Ruby Fox-Milligan’s (Beth Cordingly) abuser dad Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) has the young girl but April’s whereabouts are yet to be confirmed.
