Elon Musk savages Good Morning Britain in single-word tweet after bold 'invasion' hint

Elon Musk has issued a savage single-word response to a Good Morning Britain (GMB) poll after the billionaire made an outrageous “invasion” hint about the UK.

Billionaire Space X and Tesla CEO Musk, 53, shared his response on his social media platform X/Twitter after the ITV show asked whether he should stay out of British politics. The January 3 GMB post said: “Elon Musk has called for the release of Tommy Robinson and criticised the Prime Minister and Jess Phillips over the Rochdale scandal.

“He is also reportedly set to donate money to the Reform UK party. But should Elon Musk stay out of British politics?” The poll closed with 65.8 per cent saying “no” with the remainder “yes” after 42,436 voted.

Musk responded today with the single-word response “lmao” (laughing my *** off). His response soon went viral on the platform with the post having been viewed more than 1.6 million times and liked on an estimated 32,000 occasions.

The post is Musk’s latest intervention into UK politics after he sent out a flurry of messages on X/Twitter criticising the current Labour Government over how the grooming gang scandal was handled.

Musk yesterday hinted at the US invading the UK to “liberate” it from what he declared was a “tyrannical government.” Final results of the poll had a 58 per cent share voting “yes” with the remainder “no” out with nearly 2 million respondents taking part.

Musk also hit out at minister Jess Phillips and Sir Keir Starmer in particular, claiming the former was a “rape genocide apologist.” He criticised Sir Keir for not prosecuting gangs during his tenure as head of the Crown Prosecution Service. Sir Keir yesterday accused Musk of having “crossed a line” after the billionaire’s threats led to Ms Phillips receiving serious threats.

The Prime Minister defended his record in bringing “sickening” abusers to justice, adding: “Those that are spreading lies and misinformation as far and as wide as possible, they’re not interested in victims. They’re interested in themselves.”

Musk, who is a key advisor to incoming Republican President Donald Trump, turned his focus to the UK in recent days after details from cases regarding the grooming gang scandal were widely shared on X/Twitter. The billionaire has shared multiple posts praising thug Robinson and calling for him to be released from prison.

Robinson is currently serving an 18-month prison sentence after he admitted 10 breaches of a High Court for repeating false allegations against a Syrian refugee. The Space X CEO has also showered Reform UK with praise wanting it to be the government to lead the UK with speculation mounting that he would donate more than £100 million to the party.

But Musk quickly turned on its leader Nigel Farage and called for new leadership after the veteran Brexiteer distanced himself from Robinson. Musk has praised conservative populist and far-right parties in the UK and Europe after becoming more political in his posts since taking over Twitter in 2022.

He is set to play an influential role in the incoming Trump administration after donating large sums to the Republicans in their recent Presidential Election victory. Musk will oversee the advisory, and meme-inspired, Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to cut what he views as wasteful federal spending.
