An elderly man and woman were rushed to hospital following a crash in the Black Country. Paramedics rushed to the scene on High Street in Amblecote, Stourbridge, earlier this morning, January 2.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said its crews discovered an elderly man and woman, who were the driver and passenger in the car. Both occupants were assessed by paramedics as the scene before being rushed to Russell’s Hall Hospital in Dudley.
West Midlands Roads issued an alert to drivers on social media that there had been a “multiple vehicle road traffic collision”, although ambulance crews said just one car was involved.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.41am to a road traffic collision involving one car on High Street in Amblecote, Stourbridge. One ambulance attended the scene.
“Upon arrival we found an elderly man and woman who were the driver and passenger in the car. Both were assessed by ambulance staff and conveyed to Russell’s Hall Hospital.”
