People in Edinburgh and the Lothians have shared images of wintry scenes as snow blankets parts of the country.
Snow fell throughout the day on Sunday, January 5, as temperatures plummeted in the new year.
Locals shared images of snow covering yards and roads with some spending the weekend playing outside in the rare snowfall.
The Met Office issued yellow weather warning for snow from Saturday January 4 until the morning of Monday January 6.

They predicted that outbreaks of snow would turn heavier during Sunday and Sunday night with the chance of significant accumulation in some places, particularly in the southeast of Scotland.
Southern and eastern Scotland were forecasted for the most snow with 2-5cm accumulating widely.
As much as 10-20cm of snow was predicted over high ground in the southern edge of the Lothians.
Rain or sleet was predicted to be more likely near the eastern coasts.
