East Lothian town welcomes family run cafe as locals praise ‘delicious’ treats

A new East Lothian cafe has opened up with locals praising their ‘delicious’ treats.

Bean Roasted has launched on North High Street in Musselburgh, as they thank the ‘friendly faces’ who have popped in so far. They’ve had samples laid out for opening week.

The unit at 139 North High Street was previously operated by Smart House Scotland, a home security company.

Posting to Facebook, owners said: “Hi folks, just a little post to say that we are now open and having a soft launch week!

“We currently have a variety of cakes and hot and cold pies etc, with a range of gluten free cakes in just now and savoury gluten free options coming this week, it’s nippy out so pop in to warm your cockles if you fancy it.

“We have samples laid out to try and would like to say a massive thanks to all the lovely friendly faces that have popped in so far.

“North High Street, Musselburgh…the wee green shop.”

One local resident commented: “My chicken and chorizo pie and lemon polenta cake were both delicious. See you again soon!”
