In the latest episode of the BBC series, The Traitors, an early mistake by one of the Traitors nearly leads to their discovery. Fans are now predicting a future betrayal following recent comments.
The Traitors made its return on New Year’s Day and continues with its second episode airing tonight (Thursday, January 2). Not only will viewers witness the first banishment, but one of the Traitors will also start living dangerously. Host Claudia Winkleman has already selected three Traitors from among the 22 players during the first Round Table. She chose Linda, Armani, and Minah by touching them on the shoulder.
Linda, a 70-year-old retired opera singer from Hertfordshire, already faced a minor blunder when she immediately turned to Claudia after hearing the word ‘Traitors’. Faithful Jake called her out, but Linda managed to survive the first vote.

However, 27-year-old financial investigator Armani from London makes a major error in the episode, which also features the show’s first mission. Both Faithfuls and Traitors must work together to answer number-based questions to open chests scattered around the woods, reports Wales Online.
Some chests contain gold representing £1,000 to be added to the prize pot. If they answer the questions incorrectly, the chests will explode. Other ones however, contain gunpowder. If the contestants manage to gather 500kg into the main barrel within the 30-minute time limit, they can topple a giant Traitors statue and prevent a murder from taking place that night.
In a strategic move during the Traitors’ latest challenge to sabotage the collection of gunpowder, Armani was spotted attempting to botch a straightforward question. Post-mission, at the Round Table, Tyler raised suspicions to Kas about someone deliberately fluffing answers, cautioning him to “Watch out for Armani’s reactions at the Round Table.”
The second instalment of the gripping series is set to hit screens tonight at 8pm on BBC One, although eager viewers have already delved in via iPlayer. Armani’s tactics have not gone unnoticed by fans, who predict her gameplay might lead to an early exit, especially after her bold remarks to her co-conspirators and Minah, the 29-year-old call centre manager from Liverpool, who seemed unimpressed.

Social media has been abuzz with reactions. One viewer remarked: “Armani saying to the other Traitors ‘you’re not doing enough’, girl you’re doing wayyyyyy too much. If I was Minah or Linda I’d feed her to the lions.” Another chimed in: “Oh Armani girl… the other Traitors absolutely do NOT need to act like you lol. I’m glad Minah isn’t going to take that feedback.”
A third shared their anticipation for the next episode: “Can’t wait for tomorrow already. I think Armani will be found out and she will be gone as she’s played herself with over confidence. Minah and Linda ain’t having that.”
Meanwhile, another speculated: “Would like to think I’d have sussed out Armani early on. Speaks far too much and is too confident. Then after the 2nd night in the turret she needs taken down by the other Traitors.”
Traitors continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer
