Dublin restaurant named 5th best steak in Europe in global travel poll

A Dublin restaurant has scooped fifth place in a new list naming the best steaks in Europe.

The Butcher Grill achieved the lofty spot in Big 7 Travel’s annual 50 Best Steaks in Europe list. The Ranelagh venue was praised by the publication for its “inviting cosy atmosphere and variation of prime steak cuts”.

The renowned travel website said: “The personalised service, inviting cosy atmosphere and variation of prime steak cuts are what make this restaurant so well-loved among locals, most of whom would likely waste no time singing praise about Butcher Grill.

“Here, mouth-watering and tender cuts of steak are brought to your table, followed by the most decadent desserts and the best reds, whites and rosés. Plus, they serve one of the best Sunday Roasts in the city!”

Another Dublin eatery also made the prestigious list with FX Buckley taking 21st place. The city centre venue was praised for its “atmosphere, convenient location and world-class service”.

Big 7 said: “Let’s be real, FX Buckley has certainly garnered enough recognition and accolades to be labelled as Ireland’s top steak restaurant, and this is down to its perfectly seared and richly-flavoured authentic Irish steaks, premium wines and additional meat and seafood dishes. Here, the atmosphere, convenient location and world-class service have been highly praised among both locals and visitors alike.”

The title of best steak in Europe was awarded to Le Relais de L’Entrecôte in Paris, France. Rounding out the top five ahead of The Butcher Grill were Bodega El Capricho in León, Spain, CUT in London and AG in Stockholm, Sweden.
