A driver attacked a man and punched an ambulance after being involved in a two car crash. Kent Police were called to Rochester Road in Cuxton at 9.05pm on Saturday, January 11 following reports of an assault.
Officers arrived at the scene shortly after, where a Ford Ranger and a white Audi A3 had crashed. A passenger in the Audi required treatment for a shoulder injury at a local hospital.
It was reported to police the driver of the Ford Ranger assaulted a man at the scene and then punched an ambulance. The suspect, a 30-year-old man from Chatham, was arrested and taken into custody.
He was later bailed to return to the police station pending further investigation. Kent Police are asking anybody who was in the area at the time of the crash to get in touch with them
A spokesperson from the force said: “Officers are urging anyone who saw the incident, or either vehicle before the collision, to call the appeal line on 01634 792209, quoting 46/6430/24. Motorists and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for relevant footage.
