The champions of Kerry and Tyrone clash in a huge semi-final battle as Dr Crokes take on Errigal Ciaran for a place in the All-Ireland Club SFC final.
At county level, there is a genuine rivalry between Kerry and Tyrone and that extends down to the Junior and Intermediate club grades.
At senior club level, however, the rivalry is nonexistent as Errigal Ciaran are the only team from Tyrone to have won the Ulster Club Championship at the grade.

On two occasions, they’ve lost to Nemo Rangers of Cork in the All-Ireland semi-finals in 1994 and 2003.
Dr Crokes are two-time All-Ireland champions (1992 and 2017) and have contested two further finals – losing out in 2007 and 2019.
Indeed, the Andy Merrigan Cup has visited the Kingdom six times whereas no Tyrone club has contested the All-Ireland club SFC final. That’s the challenge facing Errigal Ciaran this weekend.

Dr Crokes vs Errigal Ciaran is on Saturday, January 11 at Cedral St Conleth’s Park Newbridge. The game has been moved from Laois Hire O’Moore Park in Portlaoise following the recent cold snap.
