Team news
Paul Warne named an unchanged starting XI as Derby County went in search of victory against Leeds United in their toughest assignment of the season.
After deservedly beating West Brom on Boxing Day, Warne kept faith with the team that secured a 2-1 win against the Baggies in one of their most impressive performances of the season.
However, Ben Osborn and Liam Thompson still did not make the squad. The duo was still suffering from injury and considered doubts for the clash against Daniel Farke’s side.
Derby look to have retained the same formation they deployed against West Brom with the back five consisting of Jacob Widell Zetterstrom in goal with Kane Wilson, Curtis Nelson, Nat Phillips and Callum Elder making up the defence.
In midfield, Ebou Adams is expected to play in front of the back four and will be supported by Marcus Harness and Kenzo Goudmijn, who was excellent against in the win over West Brom.
Up front, Jerry Yates will lead the attack but will have support on the flanks in Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Kayden Jackson. There are options for Warne on the bench with Craig Forsyth, Sonny Bradley, Tom Barkhuizen, James Collins, Joe Ward, Corey Blackett-Taylor, Tawanda Chirewa, Josh Vickers and Dajaune Brown making up the substitutes.
Derby (4-3-3): Zetterstrom; Wilson, Nelson, Phillips, Elder; Adams, Harness, Goudmijn; Jackson, Yates, Mendez-Laing
