Death notices and funeral announcements in The Newcastle Chronicle this week

Announcing the passing of a loved one in local news media is a long standing tradition and we are proud of the trust placed in us to make these important announcements. Every notice published to our newspaper and news site also appears on funeral-notices.co.uk – the UK’s number one site for death notices and memoriams.

Every notice remains online forever providing friends and families with a lifelong tribute to their loved one, a safe place online to share memories, add tributes, photographs and make donations in memory. Each week we pay tribute to the loved ones remembered in our area with a funeral notice and online tribute page.

To read the latest announcements and add tributes to those from our area who have passed away, or to create a funeral notice yourself, click here. Alternatively, you can create a notice by calling our helpful team on 01482 908084. Here are a selection of notices published earlier this week.

I miss your laughter, our chats, days out, Family gatherings you playing your piano singing and dancing. Our original dancing queen. In the still quiet cold December night I feel your spirit warming my heart. Celebrating Christmas without you I hope you know you are loved every day of the year. Your memory has become a treasure, a gift that lives inside my heart. I hope you are reunited with your husband Jerry your true love (Dad). I will never forget you Remembering you always with a smile. Until we meet again Karen ************ One year mam since you fell asleep to join dad in eternal peace. Every day I see you both smiling down at me and my children who you loved and enjoyed every minute you could. You and dad can now watch over them together though he never had the pleasure of meeting them, taken too soon from us all to enjoy. I will never forget your beautiful caring face and the eyes that longed your true love, taken from you for 50 years. The only thing that brings a smile through it all is knowing you are now with eternal love. My childhood with you both are memories treasured like they happened yesterday. Though my kids never had the pleasure to treasure my dad and have now lost you my stories of you both everyday will be talked about, to them all. You are thought of every day with loving memories forever, your loving daughter Lynn

Treasured memories of our darling, brave girl. Who fell asleep on 25th December 2019. Five years tomorrow we lost a treasure, one we wanted to keep forever. I know a voice I’d love to hear, two hands I’d love to touch, a face I love so much. So gentle, so brave, who never took but always gave. For God to take you on Christmas Day, he must have wanted someone very special and although you don’t want me to cry but I can’t understand why someone who deserved to live, had to be the one to die. The hardest part of all, we never said goodbye. Love and miss you Allison. See you in my dreams. Love Auntie Mary, Uncle Richy and Ty

(Walkerdene) Treasured memories of a husband, dad and grandad. God must have wanted someone really special that Christmas morning He called your name. Each night I shed a silent tear as I speak to you in prayer, to let you know I miss you and just how much I care. Take my million tear drops and wrap them up in love, then ask the wind to carry them to my husband, the brightest star up above. Love always.
