Hull KR have confirmed that Dean Hadley has signed a new contract with the club. As revealed by Hull Live on Christmas Day, the uber-consistent forward has penned a new deal with the club, agreeing to a 12-month extension.
Hadley was off-contract at the end of the season and had attracted interest from elsewhere, but he has now agreed to stay in a deal that will see him remain at the club until the end of the 2026 season.
Since his arrival in 2019, Hadley has become an influential figure of the squad, with his role evolving since the arrival of Willie Peters. He has made 104 appearances for the club since joining from Hull FC.
“I’m really happy to resign with Hull KR and get sorted nice and early,” the 32-year-old said. “For me, this is the only place I want to be. I love it here.
“I enjoy being in this environment with the lads. As a club, we’re getting better every year. Part of my reason for coming here (in 2019) was to establish myself as a first team player. I wanted to be somewhere where I was playing a role and I’d like to think I’ve done that so far.
“It’s proved to be a really good decision for me and I’m looking to improve again (in 2025) and win silverware at Hull KR.”
Willie Peters added: “We’re pleased Dean Hadley has signed a new one-year extension at Hull KR. Dean leads through his actions both on and off the field and has deservedly become part of our club’s leadership group.
“Deano is well-liked amongst the playing group. One of the biggest compliments a player can have is your teammates want to play with you, and that’s definitely the case with Dean Hadley.”
Rovers still have a number of other off-contract players within their first team squad, including Tyrone May, Sauaso Sue and Niall Evalds. Meanwhile, Rovers have recently tied down Elliot Minchella and James Batchelor to new contracts.
