Firms are named publicly if they have deliberately defaulted on more than £25,000 in tax, HM Revenue and Customs said. It aims to serve as a warning to others and encourage those who have not paid up to engage with HMRC.

Supermarket Tai Kwok Wing, formerly based on Sherlock Street in Birmingham, was also included on the list after failing to pay £73,345 in tax from May 2010 to April 2014. It has now been ordered to pay back £37,358.

Companies across Coventry, Birmingham, and the West Midlands were found to have evaded tax and have been fined by HMRC. Among them were Tenstar Personnel Limited, Coey Limited, and Allied Flooring.
